via DC: (coloured) paper clip bike racks

My friend, brewer extraordinaire, Nathan sent this over to me -- new bike racks at the corner of 21st and L in DC! Can't help but love these racks which reminded me of these around here.

All this ample bike parking would make most NYers super jealous (there's even a naked standard city rack in the distance). People - take advantage of downtown parking and get riding!

Serious Seersucker Fabulousness

DC does it again - The Seersucker Social on June 12th was yet another well documented chic cycling event coordinated by the Dandies and Quaintrelles. After meeting at the Meridian Hill park, riding through the city and Rock Creek Park, the post-ride social took place at the exquisite Hillwood Gardens in Van Ness next to Howard University. How brilliantly executed and beautifully attended - with two great videos to admire...

DC got it going on

Hats off to the Dandies & Quaintrelles - DC's Tweed Ride last November appears to have been superbly organized, so much so that they even had a photographer take these portraits of the riders!

Last Sunday - my own hometown & our nations capital - Washington DC hosted their first "Tweed Ride" with over 300 riders in great style... it is said that Michelle Obama even took notice and came out to shake participants' hands. NPR covered the event and took these great photos (above).

You can keep posted on DC's Dandies and Quaintrelles on their blog - as well as Twitter.

Thanks, Scully
